So much studying to do before I can even think of watching the LOST finale tonight. Yes, that’s a DHARMA logo on my computer.

I’m not like the rest of you LOST fans. I haven’t been on this journey for years, watching faithfully every week. I watched the first season with my boyfriend in January and then proceeded to watch seasons 2-5 in approximately three weeks and then just jumping into this current season, season 6. Picture it: me just eating Subway sandwiches in my rubber ducky pajamas and Batman t-shirt and watching day in and day out as you know, people get killed and OTHERS and WAAAAALT and Frogurt and Nikki and Paulo, what, and everyone and their mom (literally in some cases) getting killed and that damn Smoke thing and then Jacob showing up with his slightly Trig Palin face and the Man in Black looking like Tom Sizemore pre-Hollywood Madam and Locke becoming Fake Locke (Flocke for the purposes of this) and Aaron becoming a really boring toddler, I mean, really, and then Sayid just torturing people nonstop and Jin and Sun searching and searching for each other and you know, shit just got crazy. I didn’t even mention every single stupid Kate episode which was just her being like, “Wah, I killed my stepdad or whatever”. Or Nathan Fillion! Come on!

Reasons Jack will be missed:

1. It’s good to have a doctor around. In general!

2. He tends to cry a lot.

3. THAT BEARD. Jack will never be as good as his beard.

4. He is the epitome of daddy issues up in this shit.

Reasons Juliet will be missed:

1. Her calm, doctorly soothing voice.

2. She is the anti-Kate, she has problems but she’s not always so wah wah about them.

3. Sawyer! Come on.

Reasons Sayid will be missed:

1. His hair

2. His sort of snooty-sounding laugh

3. How he looks in a man tank top

4. How intense he is for no reason sometimes

Reasons Sun and Jin will be missed:

1. Poster children for you know, getting over misogynism as a husband and learning English and rebuilding a relationship

2. Just so damn cute.

Reasons Charlie will NOT be missed:

1. He’s a hobbit. The end.

2. The video for You All Everybody scarred me for life with those diapers and weirdness and shit.

3. Even Claire got annoyed with him a lot.

Reasons Kate and/or Claire will be missed:

1. Good hair (except for Claire in season 6, yuck!)

2. Neither is holding a cute baby anymore sooo yeah.

No, really, that’s it.

Reasons Faraday will be missed:

1. That mumbly crazy talk.

2. The bad long hair in his Oxford days.

Reasons Hurley will be missed:

1. He built a golf course, restarted that van, and basically brought fun to the island when everyone else was all wah wah wah.

2. He owns a fried chicken franchise.

3. He’s our audience surrogate and is usually the one saying what we’re thinking which is pretty much always, “what the fuck”.

Reasons Richard will be missed:

1. He has lived on this island for hundreds of years and yet is clueless whenever someone asks him something about it.

2. Guyliner.

Reasons Desmond and Penny will be missed:

1. “Brotha!”

2. They are each other’s CONSTANT and despite all the annoying soulmate business this season, Desmond and Penny are the real deal and are just sob-inducing in their struggles to be together.

3. Penny’s horsey face brings me joy.

4. Desmond is nuts.

Reasons Ben will be missed:

1. He sounds like Buster Bluth sometimes (HEY POSSIBLE NEPHEW).

2. Evil, crazy eyes.

3. Ben will straight up murder people and has no problem with it.

4. He is seriously the epitome of every AP history teacher I had in high school.

Reasons Sawyer will be missed:

1. His MacGyvered reading glasses and his love of books.

2. His often terrible nicknames.

3. His looks, yeah, I’m going there.

4. He actually grew up, going from being the angry dude to being responsible and a leader with the DHARMA folk. Now, he’s angry again but you know, you can’t blame the guy.

Reasons why Locke is AMAZING and will be missed:

1. His DAD not only conned him out of his kidney but led to his being paralyzed.

2. He tried to go on a walkabout in the outback in a wheelchair. Not the Outback, the outback.

3. He dated Peg Bundy.

4. He is a badass/boar hunter extraordinaire.

5. A bunch of other shit.

6. HE BECAME THE SMOKE MONSTER/FLOCKE.

I still have some things I want cleared up, LOST!

• Can you actually kill the MIB? isn’t he some sort of Animorph now, changing from smoke cloud to Locke and whatnot?

• Why are all the minorities (Sayid, Sun, Jin, etc) dead except for Hurley? Can we not kill just the non-Caucasians please?

• Update on WAAAAALLLLTTTTT?

• Why is the island underwater in the flashsideways?

• Who is Jack’s kid’s mom?

• What did the whole “being claimed” by Smokey thing mean?

• If Jack is Jacob’s replacement now, can’t everyone else just go home?

• Why, Allison Janney?

• What was up with the Others deciding who was “good” and “bad” with the flight manifests and whatnot?

• Why did Juliet let a guy named Goodwin Stanhope put it in her?

• Can’t we just know the Rules or whatever specifically, like a list or something?

It’s all up to you on Sunday, LOST. It’s been a nice five month fling with you so show me what you’ve got.
