Best Albums of the Decade: 2. Hail to the Thief by Radiohead

Hail to the Thief by Radiohead, 2003
just ‘cause you feel it doesn’t mean it’s there.
I literally could have put every single Radiohead album on this list. I just adore them, Radiohead is probably one of my top 5 bands of all time. Hail to the Thief has more piano than other Radiohead albums and has a feeling of spontaneity in its style and recording. They have matured lyrically on this album, their lyrics filled with extensive metaphors. It’s the kind of album that needs to be listened to in full to gain the full experience intended. Musically, it’s brilliant and emotionally, it’s just as rich, having a quietness that pulls at you as opposed to other bands that are more obvious with the feeling of their music. I think it’s perfect.
