22. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot by Wilco, 2002
I had this friend who hated Wilco. I constantly had the urge to punch her in the fucking face. I’m sorry for that random bit of information but seriously? Come on. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot deserves every bit of praise it gets. It feels simultaneously adventurous and spontaneous and yet perfectly planned at every turn. It’s simple and a pleasure to listen to. One for the car, for sitting on your back porch, to play when you’re not sure what to say to whoever you’re with.
