For anyone who has ever seen the looming end of a relationship before it has actually arrived, this is the album for you. John Darnielle’s songs about a paranoid couple bitterly hanging on to just the urge to destroy what is left of their relationship are raw and powerful and at times, hit too close to home. No Children is a standout.
