Best Books of the Decade: The Plot Against America by Philip Roth

The Plot Against America by Philip Roth, 2004
Imagine a 1940s fascist America. Aviator (and isolationist!) Charles Lindbergh has defeated FDR in his third term election and now instead of going to war with Germany, we’ve signed a peace treaty with the Third Reich, creating an atmosphere of antisemitism in America. Again, alternate histories are so fun. Not to mention, it’s Roth, guys. Great read.
