100 Best Books of the Decade: 91. Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood

91. Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood, 2003
Oryx and Crake is a dystopian novel which feels almost like a take on Brave New World as well as a sequel in theme to her most famous book, The Handmaid’s Tale. Genetic engineering, wolvogs, pigoons, and more form a kind of society that seems far off but not too foreign to us today. Great read.
